About the Biotech Hub

Institutional Biotech Hub (IBT Hub) is an initiative of Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Govt. of India with a view to promote research and for development of skilled and trained manpower. The mandate of Institutional Biotech-Hub is to conduct training programs, workshops and outreach programs in topics related to Biotechnology to create trained and skilled manpower. The IBT Hub at Bahona College was established in the year 2013. Since then Biotech Hub Bahona College has been conducting training programs, workshops, seminars/webinars and outreach programs through offline and online mode in basic areas of Biotechnology and thus contributing to the growth of trained manpower and biotechnology in the region.

Focused Objectives

To conduct hands-on-training programs for students to develop the research aptitude and experimental skills among them.
To conduct outreach activities for training locals in entrepreneurship based activities using local bio-resources.
To conduct specialized training programs for faculty improvement.
To carry out student research projects and also to motivate students and faculties to publish their work in reputed and referred journals.
